Hi! I’m Harriet and I’m a third year vet student at the Royal Veterinary College in England.

To be perfectly honest, I have no idea why I started a blog. I think my internal monologue was getting a bit loud so I needed to start shouting at the internet but who knows. I think if I have one real aim, it’s probably to give a ‘real’ account of what it is to be in the veterinary profession while struggling with perfectionism, mental health weirdness and general awkwardness. If nothing else, I want to provide anyone vaguely interested in vet things to have something mildly amusing to read on the toilet (it’s not a judgement, you do you).

In terms of the big picture career wise, I want to end up in neurology (veterinary neurology that is) and have a pretty intense 5 year plan (and incase you were wondering yes, I am fun at parties). So watch this space to see if I succeed or fail miserably and die of shame. Either would probably make for an interesting read …
